My name is Jules. I have worked in the performing arts since I was a child. I have been both performer and teacher. Over the years my work has evolved far beyond the performing arts. The life changing growth I experienced during my training took my career in a new direction. Today I am devoted to share these self care and personal growth techniques to anyone interested in improving every aspect of their life. For over 13 years I have observed literally hundreds of students completely transform. It is with tremendous joy I offer these tools to cultivate a personal practice designed exactly for your individual needs and goals.
What is Movement4All, Movement4Actors and Somatic Processing?
It is a blend of the Alexander Technique, Williamson Technique, Laban Basics, Meisner Technique, Dance and Yoga Principles.
What is created is a series of awareness and reconditioning practices that generate integrated whole body coordination (mind/body/emotion) and optimal effort in both everyday activity and highly skilled movement. Through the embodiment and awareness exercises, blocked breath and unnecessary tension is released allowing the deep core muscles to support increased flow and power of motion and sound.
Your mind/body organically reorganizes for far more functional, expressive and efficient action in all activities of life. We explore the development phases of the brain and the motor skills that babies go through on their way to mastering movement patterns. As mental and physical habits of resistance are discovered and released new muscle memories and mental pathways are created, therefore leaving your integrated whole body reconditioned for the art of living, dancing, playing and everything else you do.
Athletes from many different sports have used this process to improve performance and reduce risk of injury. Dancers, actors and musicians find the practice of these tools brings greater ease, clarity and expression to their performances. It is powerful in both injury prevention and recovery. Professionals and those in business have benefited: public speaking, increased communication skills, anxiety/stress reduction and far less desk fatigue. Finally others have simply found the practice brings more joy to life as they experience moving more fluidly and with greater ease.

The exercises & explorations are fun and at same time deepen Self Awareness & Wellbeing. The discoveries made through this Somatic Processing can serve as a powerful gateway to growth & healing. Furthermore, these awareness explorations can be extremely useful for those in traditional Psychotherapy, as they allow people to identify and verbalize the unseen or unprocessed experience that has been stored in the body.
